Warhost

One hero. One host. Every keep on the board.

Warhost: a battlefield seen from above, dirt lanes winding through autumn woods between keeps, with the gold, ore and troop counts across the top and a minimap and building panel along the bottom
The game

What Warhost is.

A real-time strategy game where you command one hero and a base, and your troops take no orders. They leave their barracks by the nearest gate and march that lane on their own. You steer the war with where you build, where your hero stands and when the hero's abilities land. A match runs about ten to fifteen minutes.

  • Barracks, ranges, stables, towers, forges and markets. Each troop building feeds the lane by its gate, so where you build is where the pressure goes.
  • A hero who stays with you: four classes, levels that carry from match to match, and gear from the forge, from the map and from rare monsters, kept in a vault.
  • A campaign of two regions, twelve battles each, with goals like hunt, defend, escort and race the clock. Every boss has a trick of its own to learn.
  • Free play in four modes, from a straight skirmish to Last Stand: seven nights holding the line against whatever comes out of the rift.
  • Your knights take on goblin war bands in the first region and the risen dead in the second.
